Audrey and Troy met through their love of Salsa.Their excitement of being newlyweds was cut short when Audrey was diagnosed with breast cancer. Luckily they caught the cancer early and were able to treat it successfully. However, they took a hit financially and their dreams of renovating their garden took a back seat.
Al Fresco Area
Outside the kitchen window, he is also adding an L-shape outdoor bar and built in BBQ so in between dancing, the family can feed their hungry visitors.
The Process
In the al fresco area, Jamie is building a pergola and covering the concrete floor with large porcelain tiles, perfect for salsa dancing.
Salsa Time
With an entertainers dream, there will be lots of guests who need seats in between salsa tracks. Jamie has designed the garden with plenty of extra fixed seating along the front half of the existing garden bed.
Tropical Garden
He also adds a retaining wall to hide the problem drainage area and enhance the new garden bed. He has chosen to plant trees with non-invasive roots in the corner easement area, next to a veggie garden for Audrey. Now she will have spinach, strawberries, parsley and lots of healthy stuff for years to come.
Garden Area

The Shed
The final touch to the design is a garden shed for Troy so he can store all the gardening tools he will be using now.To add even more colour to this tropical garden, Jamie is painting the fence
